Non-practising Members
For counsellors not practising, either paid or voluntarily, in any counselling-related field. Non-practicing Members are individuals who may be taking a break from counselling but wish to remain connected to the association. They continue to receive emails and other information. Non-practising members cannot take part in any NZAC mahi, for example, branch or committee roles.
General Information:
- Non-practicing Members are those who complete either numbers 3 or 4 on the RAPC (have been or intend to be non-practising or who have had their Membership ceased under the Constitution 5 C b).
- NZAC will investigate any outstanding complaints or any complaints made while non-practising before reinstating the counsellor.
- While non-practising the counsellor cannot participate in any NZAC mahi (e.g., Executive, Committee, Branch Committee, and Panel roles).
- Before returning to practice a counsellor must complete all requirements of the Request for Reinstatement.
