Being fully registered with NZAC ensures greater employment opportunities as you are recognised for your competency and skills, are working towards higher standards of practice with robust ethics and are committed to ongoing professional development.

Almost all employers and counselling contracts require Counsellors to be registered with a Professional Association. NZAC is nationally recognised as having high professional and ethical standards for its membership.

Becoming a full Member of NZAC involves a robust two-stage process, firstly submitting an online written application which is assessed by the Assessment Team, followed by meeting a Panel of three senior NZAC Members via Zoom.
