We're looking for an experienced registered clinician with 3+ years of relevant experience in mental health (Registered Nurse or counsellor preferred) and to join our Real Youth Service in Rotorua. This service provides assessment, therapy and support to young people and their whānau. It is a brief and early intervention service based in the community.

You will align with our tikanga (principles) and kawa (practice) and support the clinical components of Whetū Marewa - Primary Mental Health.

Counselling Lecturer

This is a fixed-term full-time position based on our Christchurch campus to  start in Semester Two 2024. Applications from those who are interested in a 32 hour a week position will also be considered. Travel to Auckland will be required periodically.

On a day-to-day basis, the role will involve teaching in the Counselling programme, mentoring of students and provision of leadership for group process groups. The role will report to the Head of Counselling.  We want to hear from counselling practitioners and scholars who have a vision for working with a committed team of counsellor educators. We are looking for a person who cares deeply about developing theologically reflective, ethically robust and effective counselling practitioners.  Our ideal candidate will also have a vital, mature faith in Jesus Christ, in line with Laidlaw’s Statement of Faith and teach in an inspiring and engaging manner.
